Marriage and Civil Partnership Ceremonies

When the legalities of your union are complete, you are free to celebrate, when you want, in any venue you want, in any style you want

From our initial meeting I will work with you to bring about your vision for the perfect day.

Together we will embark on a journey, in which I will learn about you, your past, your present and your hopes and dreams for the future.  All of this will help me to write a unique love story that will form the basis of your ceremony.

In a busy world, we may not always see each other face to face.  Rest assured, I will always be available by telephone, email or video call, at a mutually convenient time.

Renewal of Vows

Couples usually choose to renew their Marriage or Civil Partnership vows any time after their first anniversary. 

The reason for this choice is personal to individual couples and includes a special anniversary or giving thanks following a particularly difficult time.

Whatever your reason, I will work with you to provide a bespoke ceremony, as befits your special day.

A ceremony for which you may wish to write your own promises for the future, reflecting on the journey you have undertaken together, will make the day more personal. 

You may also want to include members of your family, exchange small gifts or include a symbolic act in your ceremony.

However large or small the gathering we can work together to provide the ceremony you desire.

Commitment Ceremony

Couples have lived together without the legal formalities of a marriage licence since time immemorial.  The decision for this is purely personal, but you may feel that you would like to undertake some form of ceremony to show your dedication and commitment to your partner.  This may take place once you have decided to embark on your journey together, or it might take place when you have been together for some time. 

Whatever your reason, a commitment ceremony could be what you are looking for.  Free from legal constraints, you are free to design your ceremony as best befits you.  I will work with you to provide a ceremony that reflects your relationship through love and dedication.

Your ceremony

This is your ceremony, so it is important that we communicate; any changes, omissions or additions will all serve to bring about the ceremony you require.

You may decide to have a rehearsal before the big day, especially if you are having children take part. This can be discussed during the planning to make the day run as smoothly as possible.

You might think of including members of your family in the service.  Together we can bring about all that you wish for.  It is your day.

On the Day

On the day, I will arrive early at the venue to check that everything is as previously agreed.

I will be on hand prior to the ceremony to greet your guests or help in any way that I can.

My aim is to make the day as stress free and special as possible.

Once my duties are complete, I will leave unobtrusively, leaving you to enjoy yourselves with family and friends,

My final act will be to leave you a copy of your unique script, as a memento of your special day.
